AstaZero is the world’s first full-scale independent test environment for future road safety. What is unique about the facility is that the different traffic environments make it possible to test advanced safety systems and their functions for all kinds of traffic and traffic situations.

Registered participants are asked to address at least one of the proposed challenges. They design and build a proof of concept with accessible data, technologies and the support of industry expertise.

AstaZero’s test site is unique since it is specifically developed for tests and research surrounding active safety. The site is strategically placed in the centre of the West Sweden automotive cluster and its assembled expertise within the field of safety.

AstaZero har nu varit i drift i ungefär två år. I och med kommunikationslösningen med 4G stärker AstaZero sin position i världen. – Främst för att vi är först med att få detta att fungera. Astazero’s facility is based on collaboration between academia, institutes, industry and authorities.
